Who are All 'Bout Christ?
Top Radio Presenter listens to a demo and uncovers something very special…
Group sends in a demo to a leading radio station and the presenter is so impressed that he hurls them in for an interview? Extraordinary! I hear you exclaim! Well, quite ordinary for All ‘Bout Christ (ABC). The band who have an online distribution deal with Integrity sent in their demo to Premier Radio and presenter John Pantry was so gripped by the eclectic melodies that he played their music repeatedly, before inviting the group down for an interview.
“I get sent loads of stuff but All ‘Bout Christ stood out as being something very very special. I have never played a demo on air before in my life.”
And very special they are. One listen to their self titled debut album demonstrates why Praise and Worship group All ‘Bout Christ are so special. The lead track Bow My Knee blends melodic melodies and country guitar strums seamlessly. The song has many changes and variations within it which makes it a timeless track that you can play over and over again. Other notable tracks include the gracious I’m Letting Go which see’s the group slowing down the pace in a moment of surrender and the salsa driven Somebody Else which see’s the trumpet adopting a mind of it’s own and leading the group into a raucous yet structured journey of hard hitting harmonies and varied vocal arrangements. Yes, All ‘Bout Christ are brilliant and have the capacity to create delicious upbeat music but where they are willing to experiment and compromise with their musical arrangement, they are unwilling to compromise with the message. No stranger’s to the music industry, LaDonna has worked as a backing singer for years and has shared a stage with Westlife and Corinne Bailey Rae amongst others. Sharleen Hector who is also a group member has sung with the like of Basement Jakks and has appeared on TV on numerous occasions (remember the lone singer in the Coca Cola advert, with the huge, pretty smile?.) Both La Donna and Sharleen are currently singing with Sam Sparro who is climbing his way up the UK charts as we speak. With so many different personalities and music backgrounds, the album All ‘Bout Christ has something for everyone and is a must for every collection. The message is simple, the music is spontaneous, the group are very special.
All ‘Bout Christ will be on national release from 19th June 2008 and will be available from Amazon, Napster, eMusic, GroupieTunes and all Itune stores.
