About Us
What’s in a name? Everything for Praise and Worship group All ‘Bout Christ. The group from England are what they say on the tin – All About Christ. With so many young people choosing the drugs, gangs and seemingly glamorous route of crime, it is refreshing to see a young music group singing so passionately about their faith.
All ‘Bout Christ is the brainchild of the extraordinarily talented yet humble producer / musical arranger Warren King who shared the vision with group member LaDonna Harley Peters after a chance meeting in Greece. Peters ran with the vision, other’s came on board and the All ‘Bout Christ we know it was born. Once the formation was complete, the group got to work. The fabulous results can be seen on their promo album Back to Basics which was released in 2006 to a rapturous applause. The promo showcased their eclectivity - from Pop to Country to Salsa with hints of RnB, their music has it all. All ‘Bout Christ’s first gig in 2006 sold out and the group look set to repeat the success of their promo with their first self titled debut album due for national release on 19th June. Success has followed All ‘Bout Christ throughout their short career; Integrity music have given them an online distribution deal and radio DJ John Pantry played their music constantly on his radio show, before hurling them in for an interview.
“I get sent loads of stuff but All ‘Bout Christ stood out as being something very very special. I have never played a demo on air before in my life.” Says John.
No stranger’s to the music industry, LaDonna has worked as a backing singer for years and has shared a stage with Westlife and Corinne Bailey Rae amongst others. Sharleen Hector who is also a group member has sung with the like of Basement Jakks and has appeared on TV on numerous occasions (remember the lone singer in the Coca Cola advert, with the huge, pretty smile?.) Both La Donna and Sharleen are currently singing with Sam Sparro who is climbing his way up the UK charts as we speak.
The 12 strong group have an indescribable chemistry, with the more experienced musicians honing the younger ones. It is a unit that works well and Warren is happy to see the accomplishment of his vision.
“It is good to see the vision actualised but we have so much further to go. We want everyone – young, old, black, white, purple to know all about Christ.” Say’s Warren and then continues
“As Christians, we are all about Christ and we want the focus to be on Him. Christ is about love and that is something we always try to bring, both through our music and as people.”
And so people will. With their strong message of love in place, and their diverse beats, All ‘Bout Christ are a group to watch for the future.
